In the heart of the Midwest’s Tornado Alley lies the City of Norman, Oklahoma.  Norman is 20 miles south of Oklahoma City and is the home of the University of Oklahoma and the National Weather Center.  The City of Norman hired TUSA to procure and implement its new Project 25 trunked radio system to support the City’s first responders.  This new system, which is now on the air, is a six-site/10 channel Phase 2 simulcast configuration that provides in-building portable radio communications for city Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Service personnel.  Seamless, automatic interoperable communications with neighboring Oklahoma City’s public safety community is maintained through P25-approved, fully redundant ISSI linkages.
