Newton County, GA Approved $19 Million Radio System
USA appeared in the newspaper! The Newton County Board of Commissioners approved a contract with Motorola Solutions for a new $19 million-dollar radio system. This new system will dramatically increase coverage across the county, as well as provide much needed interoperability with the surrounding counties. TUSA, which has been overseeing the project for the last several years, is pleased to continue our partnership with the County!
A Success Story – Norman, Oklahoma is on the air
In the heart of the Midwest’s Tornado Alley lies the City of Norman, Oklahoma. Norman is 20 miles south of Oklahoma City and is the home of the University of Oklahoma and the National Weather Center. The City of Norman hired TUSA to procure and implement its new Project 25 trunked radio system to support the City’s first responders. This new system, which is now on the air, is a six-site/10 channel Phase 2 simulcast configuration that provides in-building portable radio communications for city Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Service personnel.
