Construction is officially underway on the new 400-foot Belle Center radio tower, a critical infrastructure project designed to enhance emergency communications coverage and resiliency across the region. The project represents a major milestone in strengthening the Missouri Statewide Interoperability Network (MOSWIN).

To date, 140 feet of the tower structure has been successfully completed, marking significant early progress. In addition, the new communications shelter, which will house radio servers and mission-critical equipment, has been set in place—laying the foundation for the next phases of system integration and deployment.

This project is the result of a collaborative partnership between the City of Joplin, Jasper County Emergency Services, and the State of Missouri, demonstrating a shared commitment to improving interoperability, coverage, and reliability for public safety agencies operating within the MOSWIN system.

Once complete, the Belle Center tower will play a vital role in expanding coverage, improving redundancy, and ensuring first responders have dependable communications during both daily operations and large-scale emergency events.

TUSA Consulting Services is proud to spotlight this project as an example of strategic planning, regional cooperation, and long-term investment in public safety communications infrastructure.

As construction continues, this site will further support Missouri’s mission to provide seamless, interoperable communications for law enforcement, fire, EMS, and emergency management agencies statewide.
