TUSA Consulting Services is pleased to announce that Paulding County, Georgia recently completed a successful staging event in Elgin, Illinois on September 19, 2024. In addition, the microwave antenna staging will commence on October 1, 2024, in Mooresville, North Carolina. Paulding County is currently implementing a new Motorola P25 Phase 2, Simulcast Trunked System. The new system will include multiple tower sites provided with equipment, shelters, generators, and additional site hardware, including HVAC to support the infrastructure. The new system will also include a primary and backup dispatch center.
The exciting thing about a staging event is that it allowed Paulding County officials to view their radio system for the first time while in action. This staging event also gave them an opportunity to thoroughly test the new system and conduct adequate planning for the future use of their radio system. The staging of this new system is a major win for the emergency personnel and the citizens of Paulding County, Georgia.
