OUR CONSULTANT PROCESSES FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

TUSA has established standard processes for effective and efficient methods to conduct the primary three (3) steps in the consultant process to achieve the best results for the public safety customer to assess, procure, and implement a hardened and reliable mission critical radio network. These processes bring value to all technologies that go thru the three (3) steps described.

1. NEEDS ASSESSMENT:

  • Interview
    • Understand the operation
    • Understand the vision
  • Investigate
    • Understand and document
    • Coverage analysis
  • Inspect
    • Understand and document
    • Current infrastructure
  • DETAILED REPORT
    • Current system description and issues
    • Coverage Analysis
    • Industry Accepted Methods
    • Detailed Budget for New Network and 15 Year Total Cost of Ownership

2. RFP DEVELOPMENT/SYSTEM PROCUREMENT/CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS

TUSA recommends a two-step process in the procurement of any technological project.

  1. Provide and evaluate a technical specification based on the needs identified in Phase 1 of the consultant process.
  2. Evaluate pricing after the technical evaluation is complete. (The goal is to never let pricing influence an independent technical evaluation.)

CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS AND AWARD

TUSA is a key partner in the negotiation of a contract. Based on the technical and cost evaluation, a strategy is developed with the customer to ensure all components and services are identified with the scope of work and long term services are provided and clearly documented for future contract administration.

3. PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION

A radio implementation is a full-time project demand to add-on to an already full time job(s) for key customer stakeholders. TUSA strategizes with each customer, based on a multitude of factors and at a key moment during the project to develop a customized plan based on customer core competencies and identify the customer’s and TUSA’s role to assist.
