TUSA is pleased to announce that Johnson County, Missouri just completed a successful staging event in Elgin, Illinois. The County is currently building a brand new, Motorola P25 700/800 MHz Digital Simulcast Trunked. The new system will include multiple tower sites provided with equipment, shelters, generators, and additional site hardware, including HVAC to support the the infrastructure. The system will also be connected to the Metropolitan Area Regional Radio System (MARRS) in Kansas City.
The great thing about this staging event is that it allowed Johnson County to see their radio system for the first time. It also gave them an opportunity to thoroughly test it. This new system is a major win for the first responders of Johnson County.
