Habersham County is currently building a new L3 Harris P25 Simulcast Trunked System with the Two47 base station. The new system will include multiple tower sites provided with equipment, shelters, generators, and additional site hardware to support the technology. We are pleased to share a successful outcome from Wakulla and Hernando County, Florida, following the recent impact of Hurricane Helene, a Category 4 storm. The TUSA-designed 8-site P25 Simulcast radio system, recently implemented in the county, demonstrated exceptional resilience during the hurricane. Despite sustained high winds and extreme weather conditions, the system withstood the storm, continuing to operate reliably when public safety communications were most critical.
